He loves bringing joy to sad and painful occasions by serving as an On Call Chaplain with St. Francis Health Care Services. Before having cataract surgery, he felt uneasy driving to cases at night because of difficulty with depth perception, starbursts, halos, and reading street signs. LASIK

Aloha Laser Vision was the first laser vision correction practice in the islands to use the IFS® laser. Implantable Contact Lenses

Aloha Laser Vision is the only practice in the state of Hawaii certified to offer the Visian ICL™. The Visian ICL™is an implantable contact lens. The implantable contact lens can correct myopia, or nearsightedness, as well as moderate astigmatism. This procedure is ideal for patients who may not have been candidates for LASIK. Dr. Alan Faulkner will examine your eyes to see if you are a good candidate for this exciting new procedure.

Advanced Cataracts

Cataracts are an age related condition that leads to the progressive cloudiness of the eye’s natural lens. Dr. Alan Faulkner will remove the cataract using this most advanced technology in eye care and replace your natural lens with an intraocular lens (IOL), Tecnis®, Crystalens® or the ReSTOR® Lens. Using the ORange® IOL Calculator, Dr. Faulkner will provide the most precise vision correction possible.
