How Does RHA^® Work?

The hyaluronic acid in our bodies helps keep our skin hydrated and smooth. Wrinkles tend to appear as the body ages and HA production dies down. Revance^® RHA^® is designed to mimic the natural absorption of HA in the human body, moisturizing the skin and discouraging the development of wrinkles. (In fact, “RHA^®” stands for “resilient hyaluronic acid”, a title based on its ability to adapt to the natural movements of the face.) In addition, the hyaluronic acid in Revance^® RHA^® is not heavily processed in the manufacturing stage, so it stays purer and stronger.

What Does the RHA^® Treatment Entail?

As with other dermal fillers (i.e. Restylane^®), the RHA^® treatment is often minimally invasive and quick. The injections, administered with an ultrafine needle, rarely exceed more than an hour in total, and most patients are able to return to work immediately. Slight bruising or swelling may occur, but should fade as you heal.

How Long Do RHA^® Results Last?

The results of RHA^® can sometimes be seen immediately, and tend to last up to 15 months, far surpassing most dermal fillers on the market. After treatment, your wrinkles should look significantly less pronounced, and your face should feel hydrated and smooth.
