Dr. Nikpoor Receives 2021 Castle Connolly Rising Star Award
We are thrilled to announce that our board-certified ophthalmologist in Honolulu, Neda Nikpoor, MD, has been named a 2021 Castle Connolly Rising Star! This award recognizes doctors who are early in their careers and stand out due to their exemplary commitment to practicing medicine and making significant contributions to the field. Castle Connolly’s process in selecting Rising Stars aims to identify doctors who are emerging leaders in the community and demonstrate a dedication to advancing healthcare.
To become a Castle Connolly Rising Star, doctors are first nominated by their peers and then rigorously researched, reviewed, and screened by a physician-led evaluation team to determine whether they meet the stringent Castle Connolly standards. During the review process, the evaluation team explores each doctor’s accomplishments and contributions in the areas of leadership, education, research, clinical care, and community service. Top performers in a broad range of specialties are then added to the final list of Rising Stars for the year. At no point in the process do doctors pay to be included in the Rising Stars list—inclusion is based solely on merit and for the purposes of helping patients choose the best doctors.
Dr. Nikpoor is honored to be a 2021 Castle Connolly Rising Star and shares her gratitude with her peers who were involved in her nomination and the panel who selected her for the list. As an ophthalmologist at Aloha Laser Vision in Honolulu, Dr. Nikpoor uses her experience and expertise in a wide variety of vision correction procedures—including cataract, refractive, and cornea surgeries—to help patients of all ages achieve clearer vision and healthier eyes.
